AI-in-production consulting vs more Claude seats

Buying more Claude (or Cursor) seats gets your team a better copilot — autocomplete and in-editor Q&A, roughly 10% of what these models can do. The jump to agents running real work in production is an operating problem, not a license: it needs durable context, observability, and developers trained to run fleets. You can absolutely try it in-house; tsukumo just gets you there faster than trial-and-error, in your environment.

When staying in-house is the right call

If you have a strong team with real slack to learn, tolerance for slow trial-and-error, and someone who'll own the operating layer, you can get there in-house — plenty of teams do. We're honest about that. We're worth it when you want to skip the trial-and-error and have the whole team operating agents sooner, in production.

0304common questions

Straight answers.

Aren't more seats cheaper than consulting?
Per-seat, yes — but seats only buy autocomplete. If the goal is agents in production, more licenses don't get you there; you still need the operating layer. Cheaper licenses that leave you at 10% aren't actually the cheaper path to the outcome.
Can't our team just figure agents out themselves?
Many can, given time and someone to own it. The cost is the trial-and-error and the months at autocomplete while you learn. We compress that — and leave your team owning it, not us.
Do we keep using our existing tools?
Yes. We work on your stack and with the seats you already have, plus the suite we built (WRAI.TH, trovex, yoru). The tools are a floor; the operating model is the capability.
